Pronunciation is an essential part of language learning. We need to possess intelligible pronunciation communicate effectively. The study sometimes becomes fatigued and challenging for teachers. They should not employ a repeat after me technique but include senses, sights, or even move teach pronunciation. Sounds spelling exercises could be helpful effective practice because they relate phonemic awareness sound recognition. This descriptive qualitative research used sounds in practices involving 42 students, focusing on/a?/ recognition at Indonesian English Education Study Program. Students were given the then observed progress ability. results showed that this exercise help students remedy their pronunciation, especially /a?/ sounds. significant improvement indicated effectiveness it related awareness, which allowed them distinguish letters.
